New Fall Line

Around about now (August), I start to get tired of summer things–gardening, the heat, water activities, hair in a ponytail, shorts…And I get to thinking about fall and cooler weather, vibrant colors in the trees, fires…

Hence, my new ideas concerning leaves. I’ve been experimenting with leaves and hand-built pottery pieces. I go out on a forage, collecting pretty-shaped leaves, and I roll out a slab of clay, then I make the outline and roll it in with a rolling pin. It’s not difficult, but it makes some of the most interesting specimens. I even have my grandkids interested in helping me.

Last fall I used some of the prototypes on my Thanksgiving table and as small additions to a charcuterie board. They are fun to play around with on your table! So as you peruse the website, look for some samples of the Fall ’25 Leaf Collection and enjoy! And come on over to sit a spell around the firepit…
